Are the baby golden nugget plecos?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So y'all are all thinking they look more like a pleco than a hillstream loach? Because that would mean that we had an accidental golden nugget pleco breeding. And i can't even find any info that they are bred in captivity.
Definitely not hillstream loaches

Guys, I don't have a pair of bristlenose plecos. They can't be BN unless they self fertilize (I have one, and only one).

Your little Plecos are common bristle nose, they are not gold nugget, they are cool cleaners tho. I would like to see a pic of your 270
I forgot to post the pic of the aquarium! I only have a few on my phone at the moment. I'll try to take a full size one when i run in later. :)

I have a theory on the mystery baby fish....... and want to ask you a couple of questions first before I say what it is. Of course the questions may give away my theory too but we will see. Have you seen the BN that you put in there lately and how long have you been in the house?

Hi Chuck! We moved in, in January, so it's been around 3 months I believe? We got the BN around 2-3 weeks living here (my 3 year old wanted to pick out a fish). I hadn't seen him in at least a month, then finally saw him yesterday when we did a massive tank clean (and found the babies). We had removed all the rocks, etc, and i saw him, but i didn't grab a pic. What is your theory?

So, in the ongoing saga, i found this guy/girl. I thought it was a common pleco, but could it be a kind of BN?

I also found this one, but not sure what it is? (The pleco, not the Hillstream loach)
