Anchor worms on bichir

Hi, sorry for the bumping this thread. But i was just wondering if that redness on your bichirs head is normal? Asking because mine have it now :/

If you mean behind the eyes just ahead of the Gill plate. I'd say yes . Usually due to being stressed and causing the polypterus the look pale.

Is it new ? Have you tested your water ?

Sometimes in transit they stress out when ammonia rises so that would be something to conaider

Yes, the one behind their eye. nope i had this endy for 7yrs now. And yes water is all good on my end. Here is a picture of his fins. I don't know if its paranoia or what, but are those white marks on the bottom parts? Or is it normal?

I can't see anything out of place. Do you mean the white belly ? If so that's normal

I really believe the fish is just pale from lack of substrates if you can get your hands on some red Garnet sand , red gravel, brownish sand, basically anything other than white you'll notice a difference
