Old males have slightly sloping foreheads. Other Parachromis sp. such as P. dovii have a more noticeable hump.

Most CA/SA cichlid males can get nuchal humps to a certain degree when old enough. This applies to convicts, angelfish, and even the altifrons "type" Geophagus species (tapajos, altifrons, etc)

Generally speaking from what we see in our aquarium kept specimens I agree 100%
But check out this picture I ran across ,I believe is from the feral population in Southern Florida.... Maybe not so much of a hump ,but knot that I for one never seen in anyone's home kept specimen .....

I only notice a very slight hump. I've never seen one like that pic, but you really don't know if that's a pure jag considering where it came from.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone has one with a hump, but I haven't personally seen it.

Not seen wild jags with a hump like that, being feral it might not be pure bred,

I lean towards thinking it's pure jag but also have to agree the possibility that it may not be... In other pictures that I've seen, The overall population has some very solid looking individuals that all looked To be pure jaguar cichlids , Not really any humps or knots but very solid looking heads on them.... If they are hybrid swimming around down there those fisherman need to be informed that they may not be catching pure jags lol... I would say there is no way of knowing but I guess they could DNA test them....

Here are some Dovii with definitely more obvious hump...
I'm sure these pictures have been seen by Many of us Hobbiest (sad to see them like this)... I believe these were fished from Nicaragua...
