Generally speaking from what we see in our aquarium kept specimens I agree 100%Old males have slightly sloping foreheads. Other Parachromis sp. such as P. dovii have a more noticeable hump.
Most CA/SA cichlid males can get nuchal humps to a certain degree when old enough. This applies to convicts, angelfish, and even the altifrons "type" Geophagus species (tapajos, altifrons, etc)
Not seen wild jags with a hump like that, being feral it might not be pure bred,Generally speaking from what we see in our aquarium kept specimens I agree 100%
But check out this picture I ran across ,I believe is from the feral population in Southern Florida.... Maybe not so much of a hump ,but knot that I for one never seen in anyone's home kept specimen .....
