I thought this was MONSTERfishkeepers

The best thing about this site is it let's people debate, critique, question, sometimes it gets out of hand, sometimes the knowledge and expertise freely given helps anyone that reads it.
There's loads of Facebook groups that don't allow any of this, everyone has to be super nice and congratulate every badly stocked, overfed, diseased, tank of fish swimming round in a pea green soup they claim to be water. Nobody learns anything, nobody furthers the hobby.

Right don't get me wrong everyone as a right to their opinion but are we really going to be that sensative and bash the site for members relaying sound advice ?

I have no idea what this kid is talking about.... Plenty of people keeping monsters. It's called monster fish keepers not monster tank keepers and on the flip side the kid should shut his face and open his mind a bit take a look what convict360 convict360 does with smaller tanks. Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 has a some gorgeous nano tanks.

If the site was full of people overstocking and keeping monsters in small tanks and crappy conditions with members giving the yellow backed "oh nice tank" reply to everything THAT would be a reason to move on from the site.

But ya know what I would probably be the same way if I didn't know the value of a dollar.
I didn't want to be an a****** to the OP but his biggest tank is my smallest tank, but I didn't get there overnight I've had in a 40-gallon breeder 55 gallon 75 gallon 90 gallons and went up the scale from there as I wanted bigger fish. This site should not be restricted to people with 55 gallon plus tanks there are plenty of people with smaller tanks willing to learn and take the advice of seasoned fish keepers to better their hobby. I've seen some extremely nice Nano tanks in the Aquascape section as well as some shrimp Keepers tanks. There's plenty of people with smaller tanks looking for inspiration or information on Nano cichlids such as apistogrammas etc why should we not allow them to share and help each other out just because they have a tank below 55 gallons that sounds absurd.

Also it's kind of humorous how people get butt about the advice given concerning husbandry and then they refuse to upgrade tank sizes or don't take the advice and come back a month later complaining about their fish having hole in the head or similar diseases

Since I’m lucky to see a new post on the gar section once a week, this has been wildly entertaining to read.

I was on here years back, then back lately. I like the large/huge/monster tanks. Keeping nano or smaller tanks is fine, but I d rather there just be a section for that, and keep the rest monster fish.

Not that anyone cares for my opinion or asked.

Looks like a few people care about your opinion :-)

I honestly don't even understand why this subject was posted by the OP if you go to the sub forums where they differentiate species I doubt that you'll find a tank 55 gallons or below for the fish that require larger tanks besides people that keep Oscars and green terrors.... general aquarium forum and the plants and Aquascape section are pretty much the only places where you'll find the Nano tanks

lmao right..... I don't think these people that are complaining about Nano tanks have any idea what it's like to take care of a tank 300 gallons plus and the
maintenance it takes to maintain the health of your fish

I don't have a FB account and while I was aware of the different fish groups
on there I had no idea that negative comments or critiques were not allowed. No wonder that site is so popular....people get to post questionable looking material and don't get called on it. The whole thing sounds more like it should be named Safespace Book!

How big is a monster tank anyway? The average size tank across the hobby nowadays is 55 gal. So to me at least a medium tank would be 55 to 300 gal, 300 to 600 large, over 600 I might describe as monster,
