Liosomadoras oncinus (jaguar cat)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they must just like the vibration of the filter heads or something cause thats exactly where mine stays. I'm hard plumbing the tank soon so it'll be interesting to see where he makes his new lair.

Anything's possible but I'm leaning more towards aggression the other jag is in the fat jags spot

That's very interesting. One is so relaxed and inquisitive. The last video of it is almost a bit too much to take in - that's how unusual it is for my eye. I never knew they can swim around like an IDS. I maintain that fish has its identity confused.

The other is what I am used to. You treat them the same. I wonder if this is purely incidental, a matter of personality or if the pecking order makes a difference - the beta jag knows the alpha is in the tank through hormones and smells in the water, it probably even knows what the alpha is doing at any given moment. So it stays tucked in.

Have there been occurrences where alpha had to spend time apart in another tank? I wonder if anything whatsoever would change in the beta's introvert and sociopath behavior... which is the norm for a jag.

The active one doesn't always do it but yeah it is a pleasant surprise to have her do it every now and then.

No they haven't spend time apart .

Odd thing is the smaller one is the alpha

possible indication of gender? or do you already have that figured out?

Rapps said these two were female. I did have a male but it jumped out of it's tank

I'm sure he's fine. I literally haven't noticed any growth as of yet. I'm trying with the idea of pulling these two out and give them their own tank maybe not having to compete with food will help
