Man that was one pissed off fish. Do you know what got him all riled up? Or was that normal "Feed me Now" behavior? Cute fellow in any case.
not sure what pissed him off that day, he would do this once in a while for a day then go back to normal.

Mine goes nuts at night when only the tank light is on, at his own reflection I think?

Nice Oscars everyone, loving the bumblebee.

These are old pictures, I’ll have to take some new ones. But here are my two old men. “Shadow” (the red) has been with me a long long time, he was my first big cichlid. He’s been through 5 different tanks, and 6 different moves. Over the 15ish years I’ve had him. He is a tough old bastard to deal with all my newbie mistakes and random tankamates and all my bullshit I made him put up with. His tank is outdoors so it’s really hard to get a good picture during the day.

Wow 15 years, I have had cats/dogs not live that long. Thru it all he must have some great care to live that long. Kudos to you, and still kick'n to boot.

Thank you.
I’m gonna be honest. It’s mostly luck, I mean I don’t know how old they live. But it’ll be a sad day when he goes.

I had a bad scare recently, this tank is at my dads house because I had to move to an apartment and could only take one of my big tanks. So I took the smaller of the two.

Well he tried to do me a favor and Start my water change before I got there and forgot the hose running in the tank flooding the tank and the sump for who knows how long. So everyone got a heavy dose of chlorine. I lost the little Carpintas and both my O’s where on their side. I immediately dosed with prime, Drained some water and luckily they both came around. But it goes to show just how fast an accident can happen.

***in his defense, he is used to having a well and not using prime. But they switched his water to city water recently.***

Lucky fish, well done with him
