Hello; looks like another round of ebola has started in the last few days.

Before the back and forth can get started again, a question. Has any sort of treatment such as a vaccine been developed as yet? Last I knew there was only treating the symptoms and giving the body support in hopes the person would survive.

Hello; One bit of news this morning. Seems the initial case(s) are in an urban area. A city of over one million if I heard correctly.

That they had plenty of hands on experience a few years ago should mean the government is prepared to handle this current episode. That said it remains to be seen, after all governments do not always get things right even the second or third or fourth time around.

Being in the USA and being in favor of a proactive approach, it seems to me some travel restrictions ought to be in place for people leaving the area and trying to escape into another place.

Best I can recall that is how we wound up with some active cases a few years back. A man trying to get away after already being exposed and carrying the disease with him to another country. After all if I were a visitor in that city getting away would be on my mind.

I thought the initial cases were in a rural area, but now there is a case in the large city. It's been a long time since I have been asked "have you recently traveled outside the country?" at the doctor's office.

The health professionals were in the dark about ebola just a few years ago. I hope Nina's settlement was enough so she doesn't have to work as a nurse again.
