Hey guys, drawing up plans for a circle pond 22 foot in diameter and 52 inch deep. Comes out to around 11,000 gallons. I am looking at some interesting fish and saw sturgeon were a thing in ponds. I have been looking online and saw some people were saying you can't keep Sturgeon if the water is going to get above 80 Fahrenheit. One I don't know that much about sturgeon. I do know that there are different types. Also, kind of looked around looks like it differently like bass where you want to buy small. I would also like to see if you got other suggests. Thanks and btw I am pretty opened minded at this point.

So a million questions on that lol. I know there are peacock bass (cichlids) and gars. What would be a good combo of these fish? Do they need to be kept in groups btw? Like two red tails, paroon, a shovelnose, 5 peacocks, Florida gar, and some good size koi? I would think some of these fish may not get along with each other. I know size is a huge factor. So what you guys think would be the best combo?

U can do a bunch of each except the sturgeon would keep maybe 1 or 2
You can do groups of these fish

I don't think I want to keep a sturgeon unless it's gonna be happy in the pond. If Florida is too hot for a sturgeon I should look at other fish. Last thing I want to the fish to hate it's life.

I agree but ur pond is deep so it might stay cool enough for it

Don't get a sturgeon; there is literally nothing you can do to approach happiness for that fish.
And that's not a knock on you.
You have a great opportunity ; sturgeon are not a part of it....

A sturgeon won’t thrive in that pond, at that temperature you can pretty much keep all tropical fish in there so the possibilities are endless, you could go with big fish like arapaima and alligator gar as well as big catfish and a big shoal of pacu. You could also do large mouth bass, peacock bass, and large cichlids. There are really endless combinations

I had sturgeon years ago in the uk. Unfortunately they died one warm summer even with good filtration and an air pump. There might be ways to do it but ours is a deep pond as well.
