How would these fish look like in a community tank?

Shrimp are fan feeders, no mandabels
I was thinking, should I screw the severum for 3 keyholes, or 5 SDs, or 3 dwarf pikes?
I would avoid SD's in this tank size, I had 4 in a 4' 90gallon for a year or two, and I felt like they needed a little more room. They swim so fast that in a 4' tank they are turning around every second or two
Severus will likely eat the shrimp regardless of size, they simply tear them into bite size pieces
I liked the penguin tetras idea! A big school of them would be better than a small school of silver dollars.

It sounds to me like youre going for a south american grabbag tank. So my advice to you is try one of a lot of different cichlids. Add slowly, one at a time ya know, figure out what you like. But get whatever you want. Uaru, severums, guianacara(bandit cichlid), flags, keyholes, dwarf pikes....they will all get along fairly well. Thats the beauty of south american tanks. Just keep the big baddies out like festae, umbee, or pretty much any CA cichlids and youre fine.
