35cm is maximum? It's common for auranti to get upto 50-55cm plus, even my friend have a 50 cm male and it's growing ,Your tank is fine for life IMO.
35 cm is already close to maximum size.
It does need plants though, a lot of them if you want him happy.
Well my tank now (no the one whcih i ll make in 5-6 months) is exactly 4ft long but the depth is 40cm which i dont like . But i dont think that my aura ll have problem for 5-6 months in this aquarium. I ll remove the driftwood from top side to move betterMy male has maxed out at 40cm. Hes about 4 years old now, so im not sure how long he has left. But he likes to cruise around all 6ft of his tank. I would say 4ft minimum, any more space the better. But everyone has their own ideas![]()

Y u think that all u know ,what u see is true others r fools , I have seen 55cm auranti with my own eyes , have u ever heard name of Andrew Rao and tabrez Sharief , go see in their collection, what about these pic35 cm is close to its max size.
Its max size is around 40 cm.
If you have a 55 cm Auranti, you may want to call Guiness book to have it looked for a world's record.
My 6 years old was 38 cm (granted it was a male) in 180g.
