Photo update. Looks more and more like a super red. Body has reddish tinge and fin has taken a strong reddish colour.
Exciting to see it grow.

super red..blood red..chilli red..all just names made up by breeders..red is red IMO...
Wrong blood red has dark base slim body, chilli red has green base with thick body, super red could be mix between blood and chilli they do not know what the real breed is so they name it super red

Yep the 1st aro is 100% green. Recent post by another MFK member trying to find out what kind of aro he has https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/what-kind-of-aro-is-this.704208/ I said it was a Highback Golden Splendour as the green is rarely bred, at least on purpose..& scale patterns on body near tail are definitely splendour fusion of some golden mix w/ super highback phenotype. Reminds me of Long Yu 24k golden blue base.. The red here looks like is Banjar super red.. chili, vip, or blood will have red'der tail uaually.

Both are the same Arowana.

i know.. looks like banjar red w/ grooming technique your dad is using.

take away the red light + you see the difference. i just saw your post in the aro gallery thread & w/out any grooming aesthetic it is 100% green bro. great fish just is not red variant, the retailer will know if it's real red or not. i don't sell aro, just being truthful

The one you saw in Arowana gallery are mine (not my dads) except for the super red one. The Arowana that you are mentioning, without the red light, is in fact a green Arowana. I have couple of Banjars, a silver and green one. The one that my dad has does not look like a green. The post was put even before I got a chance to see it in real. I too thought initially that it was green. But after seeing it in person, it surely looks like a super red. Might be a low quality one because of the horse shoes on the scales. But of course, could be Banjar as well. Fingers crossed for the cheeks to turn red. :)
