i hear people say kuhli loaches like warmer water, 75-80 degrees, but that dojo loaches like cooler water, 65-75 degrees, my water is fairly in the middle, around 74-76 on average, sometimes more or less, my loaches are all doing very well and are happy as can be, I’m just worried that I’m shortening it’s life, I hear they can’t last more than a year in those temperature ranges, but it’s been several months and they’re fine

Lol, dojos can survive icy winters, neither fish is delicate by any means, they are both very hardy as far as temps go.

Yeah that's what I thought, I've had the kuhlis for 2 months and the dojo loaches for about 4 months and they're doing very well and growing a lot, people say I have way too many fish in my tank and that they'll get too big but they are doing amazing, they love to hide in the drift wood, in the plants, in decorations, and they sift through the sand

My kuhli loaches survived everything that I put them through and I honestly thought they would out live me at one point. They are experts at not dying.

No kidding, I found a kuhli in a unfiltered tank once, no filter, heater, or much else but ocassional water changes

I had 1 that constantly jumped into the tank beside his and jump back. I'm honestly suprised he didn't once fall into the 6 inch gap between the tanks.

Notice the tense on had, I did not say I have one. Had. Past tense meaning I no longer have him. A mysterious disease wiped out 90% of my bottom dwellers in my 55.
