Something new... stocking opinion! Lol

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
severum would be a good safe choice. Maybe an A. heckelli, though it could bump heads with the GT. What you want is an SA cichlid that's about 6-8" and isn't crazy aggressive.

so...a chocolate cichlid?

I think you should try a frog mouth fish, their very easy to keep, and they are something most people don't know of, if you want a show-offy tank......

Tangled up in Cichlids may have them.

That will be a lot of fish in a 125 at full size mind you, it's doable but make sure to overfilter and stay up on water changes.

I agree, i think it’s a “maximum occupancy” for the setup, I want to set it up so that I know i can’t add anything going forward lol. If it gets to be too much I have a couple 75s and can separate one or two out.

If they outgrow the 125, you need a 180/240/300 gallon. Fish that big moving from a 125 into a 75 won't work out.

COTA has central american cichlids. If you want SA cichlids, you look at Rapps' stock list. Several and Chocolate Cichlids are SA cichlids.
