Sa biotope down the pan... I sold my afer knife to a pal about 4-5 months ago. I grew that fish for 2 years or so and was quite gutted when I let him go under the agreement I get first offer if he wants rid. He is downsizing now so I got him back in the 300, such a character.
There ya go. I threw out my ideas of several biotope tanks a little while ago. I'd rather shape my tanks to my personal taste. Not that i don't admire a nice tope tank.
Failed... Seemed fine, went out for pizza and came back to world war 3.... Knife was hammering my 10" gold wolf, torn his lip....
Had to split em before one of them lost an eye.
I caught a bit on video before splitting them, was hoping it would calm but it was horrible to watch.
Knife has some scapes too, worried the wolf would grab him and sink the teeth in.
Knife is now in the 90 with Rufus the Midas for the time being.
Knife just seems to hate long fish, he used to torment the old 12-13" lenticulata pike.

If thats as bad as it got i wouldnt be too worried. Its almost to be expected in a tank like that. It looks to me like they were just sizing each other up, establishing a heirarchy. Ive heard afers can be nasty though.

Nah, it was worse just after filming, the 5 mins before I grabbed the net.
Wolfs lip is ripped quite bad and I can see on the afer lots of damage now he has gone pal after netting him.
Definitely not something you can leave to sort itself out, we nearly went to the pub after pizza, glad I came home or maybe I would have major damage and or a dead fish.

Yikes! Yeah youre right he tooled up that wolf pretty bad. You did the right thing, especially cause i like that wolf the most.
