My tank stand is broken

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My neighbor actually has about 15 of them. He burned them but it barely hurt them at all. If I wanted to I'm sure he would give me another one. Ooh, I could put a 180 on them!
The next time I see him in his yard I'm gonna ask him.

I've always wanted to get a nice sized stump and carve a chair out of it.

How does your country not have concrete blocks? I find that hard to believe personally.
I believe Jordan is a country in Africa. I have been to few countries in Africa that have very different technology than we are used to. For instance where we have bricks easily available, on one of the sites I was on we had to make our own bricks mostly from mud and a bit of concrete mixed in. The bricks are solid enough to make houses and buildings but would definitely crumble under pressure from a tank.

My amazement is where did that tank come from. Looks like a solid tank. Not sure what op will do for filtration...?

Ahh I see, thanks for explaining that Matt.
Maybe he could do a diy filter out of a 5 gallon bucket? I've done light research on them in the past.

Yeah you're absolutely right, a lot of countries in Africa still bodge together makeshift building blocks out of dried animal dung! But that's in Africa, not among the oil rich Arab states of the middle east, which is where Jordan is. Different continent, and even though Jordan isn't the richest country in the area i'm sure, with their wealth of gas and oil reserves, that they have sufficient building products to build structurally sound houses with and even something lying about to put a tiny little fish tank on.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves dave. You can't go from a 75 gallon to a 18,000 gallon but a 75 to a 180 is a nice stepping point :D.
