Water change yesterday, mealworms brine shrimp bloodworms, tank mates have been 1ruby shark 1upside down catfish for months...recently added was an Oscar (removed once we realised Harry was poorly) and 1parrot fish, but all are being removed later today and Harry is going to be alone to aid recovery, it's a 4ft tank, will upload pic ignore yellow tinge it's the camera on my phone...rubbishPost pics, water parameters, tankmates, and tank size. Last water change, wate change schedule and food. This will help.

He has banged his back pretty hard by the looks of it. Wonder if there is internal damage, is he swimming ok?
He is as wide as your 4' tank in that pic, how big is he 12-18"…?
Either way aro will kill them self via smashing themselves to death in tanks that are too small, silver around can hit 2ft in a year to 18m so you need a 3-400g plus to keep them minimum....
My advice if he starts eating again is to get the biggest tank possible even a kiddie pool in a basement with pond filter.
You've done the right thing removing everything, keep it dark, add rock salt at 1tsp per gallon and cross your fingers.

How long have you had him?
Thanks for the welcome....no he's a lot smaller about 5inchs...I only lifted up part of tank lid cos I'm trying to keep him as calm as possible...but we did think he'd banged himself probably a major error on our part with the oscar...so Oscar was evicted last week and so will the others later have kept light off.Welcome to mfk btw.
A few months....just recently got illHow long have you had him?
