Not the most expensive, but a number of years back I paid $40 for an electric blue dempsey. I put him in my African Cichlid tank and the instant he hit the water he was swarmed and ripped to shreds. They ate him up and there was nothing left at all within seconds despite the fact that he was the same size as the Africans. Not the best $40 I ever spent.
