Came home to this!

Well actually it was on the floor and some distance from the tank.It's body was damp and I noticed it's gills were slightly moving so I suspect that there is some hope in saving it.I picked it up and quickly placed it back in the tank where it seemed to respond almost immediately....all fingers and toes are crossed.

Hah,was going to simply say it is a catfish but that would be stating the obvious.It is a black eared pangasius.

Thank you,the damned silver dollars tend to cause a mini riot in the tank if the slightest thing spooks one of them and that is likely what happened.This fish is about ten inches in length.

Yes,a few of my big ones have....very excitable fish.

I hate SDs they are some spaz's. I had the same problem. Id walk in the room too fast and it would look like those Asian carp in Louisiana jumping everywhere

I am not sure which pangasius species is labeled as basa but I suspect that the more common irredescent shark or some hybrid is what is used....as for the silvers being dithers,they get along just fine with my big kelberi.Oddly,the cichlas enthusiastic feeding does not seem to bother them.
