Just an update. Thinking about upgrading to Current Orbit LED programmable lights. The bamboo shark is getting pretty big. Added a few more fish from a friend's 220g tank he took down.

My pair of Catsharks 1st Offspring hatched tonight. The female is having about 3 fertile eggs out of every 5 she lays.
Fish look great. I love the look-down they have such a neat look to them. How big will the bamboo shark end up getting?
I had a trio of lookdowns but lost two during the tank transfer. Super delicate fish. If they get a scratch, they are high risk of infection. They are big friendly giants that eat a lot. I have had this one for almost two years and it grew fast.
Wow very interesting, I never knew that about them. They look like such a tough fish from their appearance.
Yeah mine were about 3' for over a year. Didnt seem to grow alot after hitting 3'. But I sold them off after about 3 years of having them it probable that they would still have been growing slowly. They hit 3' pretty quickly.
That's really cool though they get that big. I've always loved SW and wanted to get into it myself, but with the fact I am gone on so many fishing trips (I'm gone about 10-15 times per year for up to 16 days at a time) I just know if I got into salt and left for that long it would be problems. So thats why I never got into SW. Love the fish you have there though, really cool. Are sharks like that something most SW shops sell? or do you have to order stuff like that online? You may have said, just didn't see, how big was he when you got him?
I've had the Bamboo Shark for over 3 years. I picked him up when he was probably a month old in an egg and he hatched in Nov 2015.
I was able to get my new US Current LED lights installed today. What a difference and the light features are really cool. I have six 36"-48" lights spanning front to back, but I might try them in left to right in 3 rows tomorrow to see if there is improvement in light coverage. These lights are less watts, at only 36 watts each, so my power consumption is considerably less than the six 65 watts LED strips I had before. The colors of the fish really pop now and you can see more fine details of the rock now. My phones camera quality doesn't really show the true look.
