If you put any fish together young enough, feed them well, keep your water right, I have never seen a problem. Feeding schedules are required. Hungry fish are happy fish. Cichlids should be fed well. Keeps their friends alive and happy.
Started a tank. Cycled with Cory’s. Was going to get 2 discus. Took the girlfriend. Came home with 2 angels, 2 blue pearl gouramis, 2 red and 2 silver danios. She fell in love with 2 electric blue Jack Dempsey’s, in a tank with blue and orange freshwater lobsters. They came home with me. Lobsters ate the Cory’s. Tank 2-Lobster tank. Lol. Oh, I forgot the snails. Lol
3 points- 1-lobsters are the only thing that has to be alone. 2-Fish that grow up together, live together, pretty well. Adding an aggressive species causes a lot of flushing. 3- get the discus. Leave the girlfriend home.
Tank is fine. Amazing. Bored of the banter. No one knows. Two months. Not even a nipped fin. Got new Corys and a red tail shark. Try it. Adjust as necessary.Enjoy!
