Silver Dollar losing black bar color

One of my black bar silver dollars (emperor blue hook) has been occasionally losing its black bar over the last couple weeks.

This is a pic of them last week:

What does this mean? Is he stressed? The water params are ok and they are eating.

Probably the less dominant one or stress.
 
I would still do 50% water change butsee if the other one is picking on him, Dollars are better kept in schools of at least 6 or better 1 to avoid this I have a large solo black barr that schools with my silver distochodus (3) for yers and his color is fine other occupants are 4 adult rainbows in an 85 gallon
