i looked at severums but im not a huge fan of severumsI had one with green and gold severums in a 60 tall. Sold when I moved.
yeah i plan to have him in a 125 with numerous plants and caves to help shynessSeverums are not everyone's cup of tea so its all good. IME the bgk fish aren't very competitive for food and are beat up kind of easy so finding fish that aren't super aggressive is good. I had to often times feed him by hand down in his cave to make sure he ate enough. which brings me to my next point which is to have plenty of hiding places for the bgk to get away from the cichlids. Something like Amatitlania sajica might work but black ghost knifefish grow rather large so when it gets to bit he may or may not try and snack on them in the night but would work for a while although i have not tried it myself.
So, your tank its going to be one or two leopard ctenopomas, a black ghost knife fish, 8 clown loaches, and a striped raphael catfish. If you wan to add a cichlid, maybe you can add a geophagus altifrons if you don't like severums?yeah i plan to have him in a 125 with numerous plants and caves to help shyness
