just looking to see if anyone has any experience with these? Or if anyone keeps any?

Came across one whilst on YouTube and they’re very interesting to watch, are they rare in the aquatic trade?

Any info would be a help!

Thanks!

Are you referring to an African dwarf frog or something else? The African dwarf frogs are super common and sold at most chain stores. If you're referring to something else as a 'freshwater frog' then you'll probably need to narrow down what you're looking for.

As for an anglerfish... If you mean those deep water freaky looking things with dangling lights, please post pics when you purchase/catch one and figure out how to successfully keep it in a tank. You'll be a legend :hypnotize

They are in the pet trade in the US but rarely see them for sale. The care for them is the same as the Saltwater species. I've kept a Saltwater one but probably killed it over feeding it. During that time not enough info for care of them.

If I'm not mistaken they do better in brackish long term?

Over here there has been a sudden surge of stores selling “Freshwater” Bumble bee groupers... claiming they can live out their lives in fresh...

So unless there is solid proof of them living in fresh for extended periods i’m going to have to say sorry and call bluff on these being fresh water fish as well...

Yeah this is why I asked for info as a lot of the information online contradicts each other, I’m going to have a spare tank shortly after the new year as I’m upgrading so I’m tempted to keep the old one going aswell, just looking into some odd balls to put in there

I know the fish you’re on about but no they’re not the species I mean, I would assume they wouldn’t do very well in captivity as they’re a deep sea fish
