OFFICIAL PLANT/GARDENING THREAD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Time to revive this thread after two years!

K krichardson here's one of mine (got a smaller one a while ago) in the snow. I've also planted a seedling Europeanfan palm (Chamaerops Humilis) but I doubt it will last long, since it can't really handle temperatures under -10 C (around 14F)

Nice trunk on that palm.I have been tempted to get another.
I'm going to have to get you a photo of one of my yucca plants. The thing is almost taller than I am.

Im glad this thread was resurrected- I love to garden!
I live in California and am slowly transitioning my yard over to native plants and low water plants. Here are some pictures of areas that I have worked on to get to very low watering.

This year was kind of an off-year. My wife's aunt wasn't here and my wife didn't have alot of time. But she did get sweet potatoes, string beans, and something like zucchini(bittersweet?). Also had early grapes. We have to pull them early or the birds would get them.

Fun! I love plants. I’m not always the best at gardening due to gnats in mid summer. Ugh, they are the worst. Anyway, here are some pictures I took last year.

And my banana plant:)
I got it in May last year and it had two leaves. This was in June or July. I should take a new picture since I have it in the house.
