The Rockford Files

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello; I watched the Rockford Files back in the day. I was still a young man. I like the way the car looks but 70's cars were mostly dogs when it came to performance. They were the ones that would run on after the key was turned off. This was after the government and the insurance companies killed off high performance to a great extent.
I think it was sometime in the mid to late 80's before there was some snap back in an engine. I would like to have the car as long as I could do away with the 70's smog stuff.

Yeah you're right about them smog 70s. Here in Cali, the 74 would be smog exempt. :woot:

I always thought that the best car years were from about 65 to 75 myself.

Which cars did you like from that span of time?
Well growing up, two of my uncles had Chevelles one was a 1970 SS454 I remember riding around and just getting pinned to the seat when he would get on it. I loved that thing
I believe Mustangs best years were 67 and 69 the Shelby GTs
To my eye not many better looking muscle cars.
Oh and don’t forget the corvette those were some good years for vette lovers too

Yeah me too, and that’s what I’m talking about. Everybody has their taste in things.
To me, those years for mustangs were the best!
