The classic skull and bones in the aquarium with a shoal of Redbelly Piranha was always a personal favorite.

A freind hung a bunch of goofy decorations like a castle and treasure chest, plastic plants etc. upside down from the tank braces and lid with fishing line then stocked it with upside down catfish. I thought it was a strange thing to do but was sort of impressed that she came up with the idea and actually did it.

That reminds me of one of my tanks fron years ago.I was keeping African cichlids at the time and I nearly covered the entire tank bottom with various artificial skulls.The idea was to mimic a collection area in which a large number of human skulls litter the river bottom.
