But I'll tell you what helped me 2 different times (once left shoulder, another time right, both climbing injuries, didn't properly warm-up) -- acupuncture. Sometimes once will do it (worked on pinched nerve in back before) but if more serious problems best to go once a week for about a month. Don't take this as medical advice, just something to consider before taking more serious measures.

That actually doen't surprise me at all, because there are times when it is really bad where I will take a hard rubber ball I bought (it's actually a dog toy lol) and put that under the back side of my shoulder while laying down for a bit and oddly enough that seems to take some of the pain away for a little bit. Guess it's somewhat of the same principal with pressure points.

Yes, RC problems are no fun at all. There's quite a few different types of RC injuries, it's such a complex combo of ligaments, muscles, tendons and bones so naturally there are different ways to go about healing/fixing them.

TBH I hadn't really heard of dry needling before and had to google it. While of course I can't comment on its effectiveness, if I had to choose between it and acupuncture I would go with the one that's been practiced for about a 1,000 years :)

Trepidation has been practiced longer lol

On a more serious note I've been oxygen loading my muscles using a breathing technique I've developed, this has really helped me gain quality muscle, I'd say I'm at least 3 or 4 times stronger then this time last year

How does that work? I don't see how that would improve strength exponentially?

One of my sports/adventure goals for this year is to climb up (and down) this little wall I've been thinking about for some time. Physically I think I'm ok, just need to wrap my head around it a bit more from a mental/confidence perspective.
