Maybe some silk plants then? Would break up the tank without being immovable objects, so the fish can swim around them or move them. I buy them at michaels craft store very cheap

Hello. Hope all is well. I do have some plastic plant's that have a gravel base on them. It's what I use in Big Boy's tank. He can move them around and stuff. The silk plant's your talking about are they on a base or do you attach them to rock's or something? I did check on him a little while ago in the fish room and it's kinda dark in there but I could see him swimming around. He's fine. Just mad at Mama!!! LOL!!!

It's really funny how moody big cichlids can be!
I used to have an Oscar that would throw big tantrums, here is a video of one
And the silk plants, they have many kinds, I usually get ones without a base and super-glue suction cups to them, and have them hanging off the back. I believe they have some with a base as well

OMG!!!! I thought Big Boy was grumpy!!!! WOW!!! He was NOT happy with you!!! LOL!!! Your tank & Oscar's are GORGEOUS!!!! I thought maybe something was wrong with Rocky. I didn't think he was going to be mad at me for rearranging his tank!!! Bad Mama!!!! LOL!!!!
Haha cichlids are such sooks! 
My big geo used to go really mad at my ex if he touched me in front the tank. My ex would hug me and Horrace would go a dark purple and thrash at the tank much like the oscar that 'swami posted above until my ex stopped touching me. It was kinda cute seeing a fish get protective (I think this is what it was) of his person but also worrying when you have a thick 12" cichlid smashing at the glass..

Hey Ebbi!! Hope your doing well!!! That was cute Horrace being protective of you!!! It is definitely scary when you have a BIG 12 inch fish slamming around the tank!!! Big Boy has done that and I get so scared he is going to hurt himself!!!! Big crazy fish!!! LOL!!! Rocky & I are buds again!!! Till Mama does something else to his tank!!! I'm not 100% sure Horrace was being protective but that's what it seemed like.
He definitely liked me more than my ex, I could pet him, he'd kiss me through the glass (press his mouth where mine was) and even "danced" with me! He wouldn't do any of it for my ex though, in fact he used to bite my ex if he wasn't paying attention when doing water changes! He'd been like it since we got him at around 1", always liked mummy more hahaha
