Just got this bad boy up and running. I think I will still keep up the same maintenance regiment up of daily spot cleaning and 1-2 70% wc weekly. But I’m still super stoked about this. Only paid $160 in the end for it

Nice rays. Its exciting when one finally gets the fish they want.

Everyone seems to get along atm. My 9” common pleco was being a jerk the first night so he ended up going to a new home lol. I am still a little paranoid that one day, one of the bass will mistake the ray’s tail for a worm and get a spike through the head lol.
So I have mixed feelings about this book. It has lots of pictures and names to most of the rays in here which is great. But it seems like the info might be a bit out dated. Also it is in German with English subtitles so it is quite difficult to really understand most of the information. I have only spent a few hrs trying to find anything in it because of this. Maybe I just need to push through it.
So I just found out that this guy’s entire right side of his body is scar tissue. The breeder tells my that when he was born one of the adults chewed off the entire one side of his body before he was able to pull them out of the big tank. He said the water was so cloudy he couldn’t even see the pups. He told me about this before I actually picked the pup up, but I didn’t hear a word of what he was saying because I was in awe that I was about to get a ray. Lol
