My silver arowana broke its jaws plzz help

I have an silver arowana more than an year old. I just saw its jaws broken nd nw its mouth is open its alive nd is moving too . But in between jumping in the water must be uneasy.

Sorry to tell you but the Arowana's jaw is severely damaged and Aro won't be able to survive like that.

I personally neverl euthanize any of my fish but in this case would be the humane thing to do.

Yeah put it down. It's in a lot of pain and won't be able to survive.

Helpless feeling very bad for my arowana. Can't think of any way to help it. Don't even know how to put it down. Sad day for me.

Really sorry to see this, probably the toughest thing as fish keepers we have to deal with, but as others have said euthanization is the most humane thing to do -- can you get clove oil where you live? If so take your fish out of tank and put it in bucket with water and the clove oil, it will put it gently to sleep then die humanely as possibly if you put more clove oil.

Very interesting paper, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately I think it doubtful that OP would have a veterinarian in his area capable of carrying out such a procedure (as would be the case with most of us).

If you have a public aquarium or zoo with fish in their exhibits then you have veterinarians that treat fish.
