My daughter Henlei has always been infatuated with "Lucy" but with her being in a pond I couldn't allow them to get very close as that would make me a questionable father, however, Lucy is now back in the 750 since it's finally back up and running after a move that took almost 2 years. I snapped this quick pic of them enjoying eachother's company and shared on bookface but not sure if that social media crap is everyone's cup of tea, so thought I'd share here.... Gives a lil perspective on size. lol.

IF anyone is curious about the rest of the 750's inhabitants I could do an update, BUT only if you guys are interested. I WILL offer a small spoiler - I have had 2 different species of Dorado together for probably close to a year now.... ;)

Your daughter have the same name as the henlei rays?! Awesome if it’s the case. Great name for a person and ray. Hope to see an update soon!

Yes, our daughter's name is Henlei like the rays..... IF you spell it "normal" then others have used it. Based on the research we did we could not find another person with the name Henlei spelled like the ray. As a raykeeper I chose this name cause aren't most rays nicer with a lil Henlei in them???? ;) I know my lifes better with a lil Henlei in it..... :)

Was hoping more of the OGs would be juiced about an update, but doesn't really seem like it....... :(

My hateful 8 -
2 Brycon Melanopterus
4 Salminus Brasiliensis
1 Salminus Hillari
1 Lower Xingu Lac

Others - Trio of Irwinni, one of the biggest striped rapheals known to man, a tailess Goonch named "Lurch". TI BD gal, "super spot" male mutt, "Jack" the mfk celebrity Henleo. Also a silver Aro....

IF there was to be an aquatic "Thunderdome" in Iowa, I believe this would be it.

I feel sorry for the frogs that will give their lives to feed these savages. Flip side it's better then being hit by the lawn mower. Other side - more frogger vids.......... Tis the circle of life.

Cool stuff, DB! Thank you for sharing. Pretty rare and unique fish and the community is nuts, eclectic to say the least...

Is the lacerdae a danger to any tank mates? What's its size?

Fail to mention that huge ass goonch!

The Goonch is mentioned, that's "Lurch" - an Aimara bit him when younger and his tail never grew back. Its a blessing in disguise for a raykeeper as I don't think rays would compete with a fully functional Goonch. They are very hungry fellers.

Lucy is not quite 2'. Seems to just get fatter vs length as I think she barely got any longer in the pond, but surely gained girth.

She did recently gouge the Goonch. Will more then likely move "Lurch" out. He was the last fish added to the pond - due to messing with one of the "milinial" rays here..... Gonna have to shuffle some more..... :( She's been responsible for several deaths here we believe. Recently one of the "Brassie" Dorado. Much more mischief from her and she'll be riding solo over rays.
