Oscar and grow out tank

I need to grow out a 3” Oscar for a larger tank with a 7” Oscar currently occupying the larger tank. I have a 10 gallon tank would this work to get the 3” out to 5-6”?
 
short answer no, how big is the tank the larger Oscar is in?

112 on odd number for a tank, sure not a 90?
 
that would work, have used before, cut to size you need with diagonal snips. AKA wire cutters. can use a peace of hose wedged between the glass to hold in place. one up top and one on the bottom. Fine for Oscars not recommended for jags, BTDT full size male jag will bust it loose.

Make the divider like an upside down capital T with zipties. You can then place rocks on the horizontal part to help keep in place. Can use scrap pieces and more zipties to strengthen the vertical portion.
