Cycling tank and biological additives

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looking around on youtube I came across this product: https://www.bigalspets.com/fish/additives/nutrafin-cycle-biological-aquarium-supplement.html

I am currently cycling my tank and have been at it for 3+ wks. Will this help with cycling? Is there another additive that you have used while cycling a tank that has fish in it?

Tbh never used bio bacteria from a bottle but sacrificed a few fish for the Nitrifying Cycle. That product has been around for years but some swear by Seachem Stability.

I just can't afford to lose the fish. It was hard finding my fish and was lucky to have found the fish I have. I have grown quite attached to them

Yes I know how you feel. Is this the only aquarium you have set up?

I have a fluval 206 canister and I bought the media (fluval) from petco

I personally would remove a small portion of the seeded fluval sponge but only if the 30 gallon is completely cycled. Place the portion into the filter for the 112 gallon.
