Thanks for letting me know I thought that maybe that had to do with my fish dying problem but apparently not. I have .5 (Less toxic) ppm ammonia now could that be affecting my fishes health?
It can you always want ammonia to be 0 I reccomend doing extra water changes until it goes down
Your tank is likely not finished cycling.
So my tank hasn’t cycled in the whole 3 months it was running? I assumed cycling happened in one month.
Depending on water chemistry and method of cycling, it can take more than 45 days.
Should be what size tank and what fish do you have in there? you could have added to many fish at once causing the ammonia spike.
Use a liquid test kit like the API freshwater master test. Ammonia and nitrite should be 0ppm and nitrate should be higher than nitrate found in your tap water.
