Timothy Treadwell was a prime example.
Hello; Yes to this. I saw the story about him some years ago. He got away with fooling with grizzlies for a while on his own. Something went wrong while he had his girlfriend with him. A few theories went around but my favorite is one of the bears just decided to have them for lunch.
Any way he had a non traditional notion of how he wanted to world to be that turned out to be wrong. I am more to the conservative side when it comes to animals that can hurt me.

Animals are dangerous. Stupid never learns.
Saw this on instagram the other day,the posts people made were outrageous.
They inv

They probably was too close to his territory or Bison felt threatened. What I can't understand is when signs are posted of dangerous animals or Sharks for example but someone will still manage to ignore the warning. Timothy Treadwell was a prime example.
I don't know who this Treadwell guy is but there is another video going around of a guy sitting at a roadside while a deer sniffing him.The deer starts to lightly shove the guy a little with it's antlers.I bet if the guy tried to stand up and move away things would have gotten ugly.
Ugh, I saw that earlier today.
Does anyone know if that’s her parents seen running away? What kinda ****ty adults run from danger without even a thought to stop and save the child? Unbelievable. They never should have been so close to the bison in the first place.
My first impression was that they were arrogant tourists who bodly moved in too close to the bison so they could get some good photos.....self preservation lol.

I don't know who this Treadwell guy is
Hello; Now that I think on it the name Timmothy Timmerson sticks in my mind but it may be Treadwell. Anyway whatever his last name may be he was a guy who had himself flown into the deep wild areas where grizzlies were common. The first season he was alone and lived close among the bears. Had a camera and made a film of the bears who were actually very close to him at times.
The next season he had his girlfriend with him out in the wild. When a pilot flew in to their camp area both were gone and never to be found. Theory is the bears ate them. A movie was made around the film he had taken which I watched.
A popular notion is that somehow the woman made a fatal difference. Perhaps by having her menstrual cycle and this stirred up the bears. I also seem to recall one of the bears was more aggressive in the films.

Hello; I recall this film from a few years ago. Made the local news for a few days. I live about a two hour drive from the Smokies. In the past decades ago I would go tent camping fairly often, mostly in the Cades Cove area. Use to be I could just drive down and rent a camping spot for a couple of bucks. I guess it got too popular for that because at some point you had to call ahead and make a reservation and the cost went up.

I can recall sitting around a campfire at night with the skunks just wandering about among the campsites. They were so use to people that they seldom sprayed. Had them be almost within touching distance a few times. I recall hearing a dog is distress one night. Next morning two girls were walking a dog on a very long rope. Seems the dog got skunked (sprayed).
I have ridden the cades Cove loop on a bicycle a few times. They use to close the road from car traffic for a while at times. But I have also ridden it among the cars.

Yes that was him. He named one grizzly Grumpy Bear. It was later stated that same bear killed him and his girlfriend.

I think they're just making excuses. Its a huge bear and you're on the menu anytime it wants. Just like big cat trainers your playing with a loaded gun.

We have these idiots that like to anthropomorphize animals, but we blame the animal when the fit hits the shan. If you're dumb enough to sit on the side of the road with an elk that's like signing a waiver imo.

Trap a squirrel or raccoon see how cute and cuddly they are lol
