Giant Molly?!?!

Has anyone ever seen a molly this big?

I was given this fish recently. Pictures attached. Normal size male molly for reference in second photo.

I've seen sailfish mollies in the Cenotes of Mexico at almost twice that big, somewhere around 8", .
some almost as large as the JDs they share habitat with.
Here's a video, but these aren't the largest.

In a different Cenote, the dominant males are a striking blue, but the really large ones, were around staying down around depths of at least 10 ft.

Vexed by spell check again, should read Sail Fin Mollies.
These Cenotes are south of Cancun, and just of the highway, so an easy day trip if in Cancun on vaca.

I've heard of them as big as 6", and have also gone snorkeling in the cenote's near cancun, possibly the same ones Duanes has, and have seen verl large mollies there. Biggest I remember seeing were probably around 6" but there could definitely have been larger ones in the deeper rocky sections.

Nonetheless for a domestic strain, tank raised molly, yours is impressive!

Do you suppose tank raised ones could get this big if they were kept in a sizable pond outside?
