We are a tropical country, doesn't go below 25 inside the house.

I don't use heaters at all, unless the fish are yoy

Exactly the point that I was attempting to make. Without ambient temps to use as a baseline, it is impossible to give the OP any advice on this subject. 1 heater, 2 heaters, 100w vs 300w, impossible to say without knowing the average ambient temp to conclude how much heat is required, if any at all?

RD. makes a good point, OP what is the ambient temperature of where your tank is kept? Are you sure you really even need any heaters?

If so then fine, but if not you're just adding to your electric bill and increasing the chance for stray voltage in your tank (or some accident with heater breaking etc).

And if any heater(s) was really required, I would make sure it's in a protected cage or place where the Aro couldn't hit it -- an Asian Arowana spazzing out and going crazy in a tank (even briefly) could crack a glass heater like it was twig, then you'd really have problems, esp. if you didn't notice and reached into the tank.
