As long as you are monitoring the tank, you're doing pretty good in keeping the hardness at that level. How many days in between water changes? Volume amount versus Tank amount?

Thank you Rocksor. I am doing weekly water changes, changing approx 33%, tank is 40 gallon breeder tank. Only fish in tank is flowerhorn who's 5 inches currently.

Since I moved to Seattle and it's a new setup

Ammonia 0.5 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
GH 17-18 degree (tap was around 9)
KH 7 6-7 degrees (this is from tap)
pH 8.0

Working on getting tank completely cycled.

Fish has been stressed from last few days and caught ich. Moving parrots to 40 breeder today. Raised the tank temperature to 86, added around 2 pounds of salt in 75 gallon.

pH 8.0-8.2
Ammonia 0-0.25 ppm
Nitrite 0-0.25 ppm
Nitrate 10-20 ppm
KH 5 degree
GH 18 degree

Moved to new apartment, didn't test water when filled the tank and for following water change, 3 weeks later, testing today

Before water change:
pH 7.4
Ammonia 0 ppm
Nitrite 0 ppm
Nitrate 10-20 ppm
KH 4 degree
GH 15 degree

After 50% water change
pH 7.6
KH 3 degree
GH 13-14 degree

Before water change
pH 8-8.2
Nitrate < 20 ppm
GH 15 degree
KH 4 degree

After 40% water change
pH 7.8-8
Nitrate < 10 ppm
GH 15 degree
KH 4 degree

One thing to I should log is, when I added seachem safe in to tank, fish ate some, not sure if he threw back anything, he pooped within 10-15 minutes and was breathing slightly heavily, he looks okay this morning.
