I blend up a seafood medley comes in a mix bag from my grocer it has squid shrimp and some shelled fish.. and I blend in sol and salmon filet carrots peas and garlic and then freeze it.. costs me 15 bucks for the amount you can buy at an lfs for 80 bucks... my eel goes nuts for it.. the dwarf giraffe also does and same with the live bearers, rainbow shark and geos... I also feed a few diff pellets only my jag cat eats massivore.. it he o ly gets 2 pellets every other dayHmm home made ? Any ideas beef heart ?

In a blender till it's basically a paste yes I add some aquarium water to make it mushy otherwise it doesnt blend well.. then freeze it... all ingredients are bought frozenBlend in as in paste ? Then freeze ?
Sorry just curious about this tank , what's in it ? Seems like Amazon biotope ?Are you sure its algae, and not cyanobacteria? They are easily onfused.
Cyanobacteria feels slimy, and often covers substrate, and decor in sheets.
Algae often feels gritty to the touch.
Cyanobacteria doesn't care about light source.
I had it in a certain tank, the one below.
I got rid of it by using Rid-X, it provides bacteria that out-compete cyanobacteria for the nutrients it needs.
