Bass Eating Pellets! Their Journey

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I’ve got them split currently -

group of 3 - 7”-10”

group of 5 - 5”-7”

I’m inclined to put all the small ones in the big tank, and leave the biggest 1-2 in my 150 for couple months while the others catch up in size... or is this silly? The largest dominant one is a farmie, I would not mind see the Orinco colors of the kel colors like I do now in the group of 5.

also, should I Be adding them as they are all not 100% pellet trained only 4/8 are... (the farmies)

been trying the bloodworm soaked pellets...

thanks for input!

I would wait until they are closer in size to mix them. Bass are monkey see monkey do, so the ones that aren’t on pellets should learn from the ones that are. That big tanks going to look awesome with some fish in it.

It’s no where near 100% but small progress

one of the Orino’s has a full tumms off massivore/vibra bits/mix with 2 bloodworm cubes.

Who’s a good pellet eater?

this little Kelberi!

Did not see it first hand but his little tumms tells the story!

Fins shredded from the Orino I took out...

group is peaceful now ?

always such an awesome day when they first start hitting pellets. Growth goes up exponentially. Its even more special considering, in my opinion, Kelberi are the most stubborn when it comes to bass conversion.
Agreed. I have also experienced this. In fact mine have changed over time. Now again pretty picky. Not eating sticks. Hard for me to starve them. Especially with an eartheater in the tank.

Some picks of the group!

should be :

2 - Broko - TBD
2 - Kel
1 - Orino
2-4 - Ocel vs rando farmies

The biggest bass has taken to snails...

Orino and one Broko on the Krill

Next biggest Ocel/farmie on massivore/anything

2 smaller - Ocel/mono/farmies on food sticks...

everyone on food sticks would be ideal..

Don’t think the pellets or die will come into play... but we are getting there...

One of the broko’s is taking krill, the 2nd skinny one joined the food circle today and showed some interest. I’d be concerned if neither was eating....
