Hi, I came across some Piraiba catfish the other day for about $125. On the site it is listed as a Vaillantii but it looks more like a filamentosum to me, but I’m not sure.
Definitely not a vaillantii, at least mine never looked like that. But I’m not an expert by any means.

This fish is still in it's early juv. stage... I've seen baby tigs that look very similar, so I would not count out this being a B. Vallanti as many young shovelnose cats look like this.
