Long finned blue eye lemon BN

I agree the non spotted look way better

that second one is monstrous looking haha
Lol yeah but do like the bush he grew on his face tho. The fins are just a bit too excessive. But they definitely do look well camouflaged with all that finnage tho. I don't think I'd ever notice one in the wild, if there even is any.

One gender trapping the other in a cave.... Does this happen often? I have not heard of this nor experienced this before now.

I’ve not experienced this either as I’ve not owned more than one pleco at a time. But my understanding is that’s how they breed, usually the male with trap the female and not let her out until she releases eggs.

Usually it's the male trapping the female in a small cave till she lays her eggs, after that then the male kicks her out and takes care of them by himself. Allot of plecos breed this way but not all of em.

So it’s a case of a female being stubborn by not laying eggs and the male refusing to let her go until she does?
