Iridecent shark hiding all the time

Welcome to the forum. So I had an ID shark that I grew from 2 inches to 26 inches before I sold it and from my experience it is a very skittish fish. Where exactly is it hiding and for how long? I remember mine would dart around for a few seconds whenever I turned the lights on.

It's consistently in the driftwood at 8 inches long? That's unusual. It's a fish that swims in open water. Especially at that size. Are you able to temporarily move out the tankmates to a different tank to see if that changes behaviour?

It might help, I'm not sure because I haven't owned two at the same time. How big is your tank though? Like I mentioned in my first reply...these fish grow very large. And pretty fast too. If yours is 8 inches it'll be a foot long in a few months (if you solve its current stress issue lol).

tank size is 100 gallons im going to build a pond for it in like two or three months.
