Festae red terror

So after he finally gets to do the deed and is done protecting the fry etc. Do they usually go back to normal or will he always protect her? Sorry I’m super new
To me it looks to be CB strain that emphasized the red coloration.

My wild one I had for a bit was a lot greener.

Could be lighting as well to help the red pop.

What does cb stand for.
 
Agree with all the above. However, I've seen males that red, so the color looks authentic to me. The image has been modified, though, by blacking out the background. This probably makes the fish look more colorful than it would in a regular, busy aquarium background.

their colors can vary tremendously with mood, breeding availability, and territorial status
