Have you tested your water?
Yes
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

noticed he had a bit of swelling and his lips seemed to be somewhat protruding,so started giving dose of metro.about 2 hours after giving the metro the swelling noticably had gotten to the point that it erupted and now a large hole in the front of his face,he swims around normally, doesnt eat though so not sure if force feeding is something im going to have to do in future.24 hours into the first dose of metro so will be another 24 hours before giving the second, ive added aquarium salt and keeping water at 82 anything else i should do? not sure what disease this is,never seen one where a large boil grows and then pops

Do you have a face on photo?

Parameters? Tank size and mates?
nitrite, ammonia both 0 nitrate .20 ppm 7.4 ph ,currently is solo in 75 gallon tank but was in a 100 gallon with few other saums.79 degrees but now have turned temp down to 75 in case its ducklips, lips arent swollen but noticable white rim visible where the mouth extends.hard to get frontal shot since he always turns his side to me but its a really deep hole as big around as the white area in the added photo. did have other gold saum tankmates no fighting or dmg from them, symptoms seemed to accelerate after adding first dosage of metro within 2 hours a large bump with a red head had formed,,took him out the tank to put hydrogen peroxide on open sores and it ruptered.no changes noted after wound ruptering besides inside looking like its healing.my guess is its some kinda parasite but symptoms dont match any known disease i can find.thought at first hith but symptoms dont match.color looks the same as when healthy and swims around normal, doesnt eat however,im not sure if he can be saved,,the hole is pretty gruesome looking never seen anything like it.hes up for his second dose of metro tommorrow afternoon and will prolly continue treating for a few weeks,,inside the hole appears to be attempting to heal up.he isnt lethargic at all,no labored breathing

Think you gotta repost some pics of the affected area including the mouth. Would consider adding some furan2 or triple sulfa along with the metro.

Beat me to it. Blue would help with the wound but it’s h2o2 or blue. Not both.

Wow! That’s more advanced than the pics look. I don’t think it’s gonna make it. I hope to be proven wrong. Looks like columnaris. Consider euthanizing the fish.
