Hi!!

Soon I will be getting Some Ctenopoma Acutirostre, probably 4 of them.

My tank is a 100 gallon tank. There is currently 1 Green terror in it and it is around 2 inches in size (no idea if male or female)

So the question is: Will that green terror make a living hell for the leopard bushfish or can they stand up for them selves?

Thought of putting some kind of tetras there also to kind of spread out any agression that might pop up.

Depends on the green terror's personality, but if it wants to (which is certainly possible, the ctenopoma really doesn't have a way to fight or flee). Large tetras like buenos aires tetras work as dithers.

It all depends on your gt. While he is small he will be more accepting, but as he grows, especially around that 6 inch mark, he can snap and kill them all.
It is definitely doable and there are enough to spread out the aggression, but a terror can very easily claim a 100 gallon all to himself.
Tetras won’t really help to spread the aggression, they will just give him something to chase/hunt and the activity tells him he is safe from possible predators. GTs also would likely eat most slender body dithers smaller than 3 inches.
If you want target fish, look into convicts.

Like others say, really depends on your individual GT. Some owned by members here are big puppy dogs and get along with everything. Others like the wild caught one I had wants to attack everything.

Only 4in long and attacked everything else in the tank till I had to rehome him.

That is what I'm afraid of, that he will just claim it all and maybe kill some of them. The tank is soo full of plants, rocks, wood and so on - it's gonna be a pain in the ass to empty it all to have a chance of catching him. He seems to have some attitude already, so he is probably the brawling type..

Gonna look into rehoming him then I guess.

You have to go with what you like.
If the bush fish are your priority, rehome the terror.
I’ve always been a fan of gts, so I would say keep him though (just my bias).

I have the same out look as the others on the capability of the two fish with a couple of changes.
1 ctenopoma can and will fight back. If you look at them closely they have quite a good arsenal.
2 ctenopoma don't get along well together usually, they can and will kill each other. They are quite aggressive especially when challenged.

It's one of my favorite fish. I have a large male he's about 6".

See how it goes with the GT. Once you see GT attempt to lip lock, then you should separate (at 2" it will only get worse as it gets bigger). Cichlids tend to challenge any fish within 75% of its own mass.
