my dilemma.

Sell & Save. Since it sounds like you’re young and $100-200 may be a lot, it’s not the end of the world. I’m in a similar position but add a zero, can’t say too many people are in this hobby for a profit

I wonder how you plan to bring live fish with you to Europe, even assuming that all the various customs and border agencies green-light the idea. Are you seriously planning on bagging a bunch of big cichlids as you walk out the door, fly across the Pacific, hop into a cab, stop at a LFS for some supplies...like a tank!...and then just drive to a new home you have never even seen yet, quickly set up a comfy aquarium for them and dump them in?

Sorry, give yourself a shake. This is never going to work. Sell or give everything away, start afresh in your new home. You can use all the knowledge you have gained to avoid a lot of newbie mistakes and pitfalls, and will already have a good idea of what you want to keep. As duanes duanes said, this will be an adventure.

I suppose you could leave a tank and some supplies at your grandma's place, but if you're only there for the summer, setting it up each year...only to tear it back down when you leave, before it is even likely cycled...does not sound like fun.

The jet-set lifestyle does not lend itself to keeping aquarium fish. :)
Yeah I’m just gonna sell them. We are going to go in august to get the house so I was planning on setting up the tank then. But to many flaws. It’s just not worth it. It’s definitely not viable. Also thank you for the long reply! I appreciate you taking time out of your day to awnser me

You guys are right, I guess I kind of knew the answer from the start, I was just hoping someone would say it could be done. I just love my fish and spent a ton of my pocket money I had to earn by doing odd jobs on them. You guys understand.

I'm looking at 100-200 dollars in store credit.

I think I'll ask my LFS if they can ship to me in Portugal, seems like there are only a small amount of monster fish available in Portugal.

I'm eyeing up the pair of Freddy's they have there. Could I do a pair in a 3 by 3 by 3 square tank? (202 gal)?

Shipping live fish across international borders is pretty pricey, your lfs might ship to portugal if you bring a few boxes of fish.I doubt they'll go through all the hassle for 2 fish.
edit : Oh ,turns out most channa species are banned in Portgual :(.You'll still be able to keep Parachanna though :).

They need more swim space than a 3x3 tank. If things go south (which happens during breeding), they even get less tank space to themselves

in your opinion what should I do with the money then?

square tanks are tricky. What fish species would you recommend for a square tank of =that size?

If I were you I'd rather spend it on the supplies and equipment I would need.(Assuming you won't be bringing any of the equipment you had)you would be starting from scratch.Live stock comes next.
