Geophagus sp.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They moved the rocks on the left into a tighter clustern and then moved the fry again. The area within the cluster is the size of a quarter.

Congrats on the spawn!
Thanks, I have kitchen countertops coming in the morning so I will have to wait until tomorrow afterwork to try syphoning them out. I have the old counters to demo tonight.?

Gentle demo since you are reusing cabinets? That's no fun! You've seen my place, we did a full demo down to the studs and rebuilt... After the initial fun of demo, for 15 minutes or so, the reality of what we had committed to set in, lol. One of these day I need to come check out the fish room after all your updates with tank, racks, paint, etc.

I robbed the fry. There is a small pump on the left side drawing from the overflow box in the 120.

My G.B. fry hatched 5 days ago, when should I start feeding them?

With my first few Tapajos broods I got nervous and pulled them in the first week or so. I started to feed BBS right away. Lately, I've just left the fry in the main tank because the parents are so protective. I've found that I don't really need to feed them as much, there's enough leftover food that they are constantly grazing. But, I do supplement once or twice a day with Aquarium Coop Fry Crack. Either way, I've been fortunate to not lose many fry.
