Hey y’all! While I’m not new to reading the forums or to being an aquarist this is my first post. However I have a few questions about my current plan. I was wanting to do a sort of river tank. High flow. Probably not doing many live plants.
But the stock I had in mind:
1-2 Peppermint Crocodile fish (peppermint pikehead)
2-3 Clown Loaches
1 Adult African Leaf
1 Regal Bichir
1 African Featherfin (African squeaker)

anyone think this won’t work or have any otherideas? The African leaf is a must as it is coming from my father. The rest are ideas.

thank you!

Welcome to the forum!
All of those fish should be compatible, but probably aren’t going to appreciate super high flow. A lot of those (especially the pike head) come from slower waters.

I really appreciate it! And thank you for the info on the flow. I’ll go ahead and pull both of the power heads and store them!

What is a “regal” bichir? I’ve never heard of this term.

Ahh, senegal bichirs, those wont be a problem, for some reason I had a feeling it would have been an endli.

I’ve personally had the leaf, bichir, catfish, and loaches all in a 75 before and there were no problems. I’ve never had the peppermints though so no comment.

Honestly the peppermints are what I’m worried about. They don’t get big by any means at a whopping 4 1/2” but from what little info I have found that pack a whollup. Their mouths are 1/3 of their bodies so they don’t do well with small fish or anything aggressive as it will appear as a challenge and they’ll attack.
